The Gumeracha Community Association Inc. (GCA) is a voluntary organisation dedicated to serving and supporting all within the township.

Made up of residents, business operators, and members of other voluntary organisations, the GCA has one main purpose: to promote Gumeracha.

The GCA works with residents, businesses, and other voluntary organisations within the township and the wider Torrens Valley region, as well as with all levels of government to develop a vibrant, safe, attractive and prosperous environment, while conserving the unique qualities of the township and the region.

The Association also liaises with Adelaide Hills Council on behalf of the community on various aspects of township services.

Some of the Gumeracha Community Association's achievements include:

  • Hosting the annual New Year's Eve Family Party in Federation Park
  • Installation and maintenance of the Tourist Information Bay in Federation Park
  • Creation of the Gumeracha History Walk, which includes site plaques at historic town sites and printing of the History Walk brochure
  • Annual installation of the Christmas lights in the main street
  • Maintenance of the planter barrels along the main street
  • Creation and distribution of local newsletters throughout the year
  • Creation and maintenance of town website

The GCA is always delighted to welcome new members. There are no fees; just a willingness to lend a hand at a level of your choice
